“There are no seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child. There are seven million.” – Walt Streightiff.
An innocent child while blossoming in this beautiful yet so puzzling world encounters every day the storm of emotions, actions, reactions, expectations, new situations and what not??.. the list is so endless! However, we all go through this phase in our lives but sadly, when we, ourselves become the guide or mentor or parents of those innocent children, we get so engrossed in our own perceptions and outlook that we struggle to create the right balance!
While as adults, many of us can seek support from friends and family, still sometimes it becomes scary to ask for help, especially for our own concerns. So, imagine how frightening it can be for a child who is experiencing something they don’t even understand; how can they possibly know where to turn? Or whom to ask? And in all this confusion, they start narrowing down into a closed shell; create their own world where they feel safest and their individual growth and education[1] keep suffering.
In such a scenario, the first thing we suggest is not to jump to conclusions. Instead of forcing our beliefs onto children of who or what they should be, we can see ourselves as partners in helping them discover who they are. Become their friends and support system first, talk to them as much possible and entrust them that you are right there for them no matter what!
Baal Sathee, the pioneering initiative of Ramagya Group of Schools in NCR has been envisaged to help each and every Ramagyan become a healthy and happy citizen from all aspects – physical, mental, emotional and nutrition.
Every day, our trained counsellors meet Ramagyans of all age groups, from pre-primary to senior school and talk to them to understand their concern areas, do their regular health check-ups, plan their diet charts and then accordingly help them find the most suitable path at every stage of their lives for a brighter future.
And we are so overwhelmed while sharing that through this initiative, we have been able to see positive changes in our children’s lives and personalities, and we envision to transform every child into a happy and healthy citizen.
Through this initiative, we are helping children in various ways – coping with everyday worries, such as exam stress, and relationship issues with friends, family members and teachers. Extreme cases have also been managed seamlessly like self-harm concerns, grief, depression and anxiety, and learning difficulties, to name a few.
Through Baal Sathee initiative we aim to transform each Ramagyan into a strong personality who are healthy, happy and accomplished citizens ready to choose the right career path for themselves to make a positive contribution for a better world.
