Ramagya Sports Academy proudly partnered with the District Olympic Association, Gautam Buddh Nagar, affiliated with the Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association, to host the first-ever Noida District Olympic Games from 1st May to 7th May 2026. Marking a historic milestone for the city, the tournament established Noida as a host for an Olympic-format district sporting event for the very first time.
Bringing together 2,000+ athletes from schools and sports clubs across the district, the multi-sport event featured 10+ disciplines, including Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Badminton, Football, Hockey, Volleyball, Shooting, Karate, Gymnastics, Kickboxing, Taekwondo, and Table Tennis. Ramagya Sports Academy had the honour of hosting the Basketball and Boxing competitions, providing athletes with world-class infrastructure, competitive exposure, and a professionally managed sporting environment throughout the tournament.
The Noida District Olympic Games were organised to strengthen grassroots sports, promote fitness, discipline, confidence, and sportsmanship, while creating a platform for identifying and nurturing promising athletes from both urban and rural regions. The tournament also served as an important stepping stone for young athletes aspiring to compete at higher levels.
One of the defining features of the event was its structured progression pathway. Athletes who excelled at the district level became eligible to represent the district at the State Olympic Games, with opportunities to advance further to national-level competitions. With participation across both junior and senior categories, the tournament provided invaluable competitive experience beyond regular school and academy events.
For Ramagya Sports Academy, hosting the tournament reflected its long-term vision of creating meaningful sporting opportunities for young athletes. Over the years, RSA has trained athletes who have represented India at national and international platforms. Hosting the district's first Olympic-format event further strengthened its commitment to preparing future champions for the Olympic pathway.
Adding to the celebrations, Ramagya Sports Academy athletes delivered an outstanding performance by winning 9 Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals across various disciplines. Their achievements reflected the academy's continued focus on professional coaching, disciplined training, and sporting excellence. The medal winners included Nidhisha, Nysa, Ritisha, Ashika, Vadhna, Soumya, Mariyam, Serena, Parth, Prince, and Toshif.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Utkarsh Gupta, Managing Director, Ramagya Group, said:
This is more than just a tournament for us. It is the beginning of a larger vision. Through platforms like the Noida District Olympic Games, we want to prepare young athletes not just for school competitions, but for national, international, and eventually Olympic-level opportunities. Seeing the participation, energy, and commitment from students this week has been truly inspiring. This is only the start, and the journey ahead is full of possibilities.
The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Mr. Pramod Kumar, General Secretary, Boxing Federation of India, and Hon’ble Surendra Singh Nagar, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and President, District Olympic Association, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
