Ramagya understands that today, the greatest risk that students face is on the road. The school takes active measures in keeping students safe while they travel to and from school.
- We take effective steps to train bus drivers to prevent unsafe behaviours.
- We have also appointed a lady security guard who stays with the students throughout the journey and accompanies them while crossing the road (if required) to ensure their safety.
- Also, the educators at Ramagya are not only responsible for students in school but they also understand the responsibility of being the second parents. Hence, they remain on the bus from the very first stop till the last.
- We also issue Escort Cards to the parents. These cards verify the guardians who come to pick up the child. Without showing an escort card, a child is not allowed to leave the school premises with anyone.
Bus Tracking System
- All the Ramagyan buses have GPS, which makes it easier for the parents to track the school bus at any point in time.
- All the students who avail bus services at Ramagya become a part of a specialized messaging service wherein the parents get the updates about the bus five minutes prior to its arrival at the stop and also an update is given when the bus reaches school.
- Also, the Ramagyan buses have cameras installed which further ensures the security of the children. Moreover, the buses have a speed monitoring system which ensures that the drivers remain within the prescribed speed limit.
- Keeping schools safe allows children to look forward to being in an encouraging environment that promotes social and creative learning. When their basic safety needs aren’t met, children are at risk for not feeling comfortable at school and may stop showing up, or they may remain on edge throughout the day.
Ramagya understands that promoting school safety creates an open space for children to explore, learn, and grow. The school takes special care of student security and hence has collaborated with a professional security company that has strict policies on school safety, which promotes increased learning, a sense of school unity, higher levels of pro-social behaviour, and decreased levels of violence.
